This time, hear Dr. Terrence Wright, Associate Professor at St. John Vianney Seminary speak on the topic of Capitalism or Socialism: What’s more Catholic? (it’s a trick question).

This is a Holy Day of Obligation. There will be a Vigil Mass at 4:00 pm on Thursday, October 31. Masses on Friday, November 1 will be at 6:30 am, 8:30 am, and 7:00 pm. The Parish Office will be closed on Friday, November 1.

Prayer in the Square

Join the faithful each First Saturday at Prayer in the Square for Respect Life. We pray for God’s love and mercy and for peace in our hearts and in the world and for the healing and sanctification of our Church. We will meet at 10:00 am at the large LOTW sign on Bowles and pray a Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet.

Community Sunday

Everyone is invited to come to Lux Mundi Hall after all Masses to learn more about ministries and activities at LOTW. There will be cookies after the evening Masses and donuts after the morning Masses.

Fishers of Men

The Men’s Club of LOTW hosts men age 18 and above to help them seek out their faith. The meeting will be at 8:00 am in the Community Center. Coffee and donuts are provided.

Serve Lunch with Christ in the City

Prepare and serve food to the homeless in downtown Denver. Food donations in advance are needed as well as volunteers to help transport, assemble and serve the food downtown. For more information about the many ways to get involved and to sign up click here.

The Knights of Columbus Council 12567 along with Children’s Hospital Blood Center will have a blood drive in the west parking lot from 8:30 am to 12:15 pm. Please contact Frank Seagren at franknronnie@msn.com to schedule an appointment.

Men’s Club Parish Breakfast

Join us for an all you can eat breakfast from 8:30 am to noon in Lux Mundi Hall. Enjoy french toast, pancakes, sausage, ham, bacon, green chile brunch eggs, fresh fruit salad, coffee and juice. Take out trays available.

This month is the Winter Clothing Collection. Please bring new or gently used men’s and women’s coats, jackets, hoodies, sweatshirts, sweaters, underwear, socks, blankets, jeans, boots, hats and gloves. Items can be dropped off at the Holy Family Center before each weekend Mass.

All married couples…from days to decades are invited to enrich their marriage from 7:00-8:30 pm in Lux Mundi Hall. Childcare is available, but must be requested in advance. Register by contacting Sherwood@lotw.org.

Blessing of the Animals

Join us from 8:30 am to noon for an all you can eat breakfast. Enjoy a breakfast of homemade green chile, pancakes, scrambled eggs and more!

To commemorate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the saint who loved and cared for all God’s creation, bring your pets for a blessing on the front lawn of the church at 5:45 pm.
