“The Christian family loudly proclaims both the present virtues of the Kingdom of God and the hope of a blessed life to come.” – Lumen Gentium

Adult Faith Formation

All adults are invited to join us for any and all opportunities to grow in our Catholic Christian faith and community.  Here at Light of the World we are focusing on the four pillars of parish life. Below you can find how we are striving for that goal.

If you are interested in learning more about what is available to you please see below to contact Dawn Maurath.

“Encourage one another.” Hebrews 10:25 – We’re not meant to walk alone, but together in community.  Faith is strengthened in the company of others who are also walking with Christ, and we offer numerous opportunities for you to find your place here in our parish family.  Join us each first Sunday for a parish breakfast and get to know others in a casual atmosphere.

“Pray continually.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16 – Essential to a life of faith is to engage regularly in the sacraments and nurture an intimate prayer life.  We have a perpetual adoration chapel for times of prayer.  Watch the events calendar to see what devotions we are featuring on the third Sunday of each month.  If you are in need of other resources to begin or deepen your prayer please contact us.

“Renew your mind.” Romans 12:2 – Following Jesus gives life us in abundance.  We are called to live in imitation of Christ, which happens through the renewal of our mind and heart. Join us on the second Sunday of the month between the 8:00 & 10:00 Masses for a short faith building talk, or watch our events calendar for other relevant talks we offer.  Contact us to join a small group faith study.

“You did it to me.” Matthew 25:40 – Christ can always be found in the poor, the hungry and the lonely, and He can be encountered through their service. We offer many opportunities to get involved in serving the community, and the fourth Sunday of every month is devoted to service.
