My Dearest Brothers and Sisters,

Look carefully at the cover of the bulletin today.  Notice anything unusual?  Certainly there are numerous images of Jesus.  Surrounding the various images of Jesus are pictures of some familiar faces.  People and crowds that reflect our own parish family.

     Today’s gospel confronts us with the familiar question, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?”  It would appear that most of us, who are people faith and who are familiar with Jesus might point to one or more of the images represented on the front of this bulletin and say, “That’s Him.  That’s the Jesus I know and how I picture Him.”  Some might respond as Peter did, “You are the Christ,” giving evidence to Jesus’ relationship to the Father and in the world.  But in a very personal way...WHO DO YOU SAY THAT THE SON OF MAN IS? ...read more
