My Dearest Brothers and Sisters,

You have no idea how much I love you.  You bring such joy to my heart and such blessing to my ministry.  In many ways the gospel today reflects the reality of the relationship we share.

     Jesus, in his ministry, was very intentional about “feeding” the people in his life.  Although poor Himself, Jesus was intentional about making sure the people he encountered  had their basic needs met.  He wanted them to be free of all distractions in their life so He could teach them and show them the path to righteousness and holiness.

In many respects, the relationship we share is very similar.  It is my desire that all of those who come to us, active parish family member, occasional visitor, guest or stranger, have their basic needs met.  That’s why the Food Pantry and so many of the Social Concern Ministries are so very important to me.  These important services provide a wealth of opportunity to put the gospel message into practice and actually DO the work of Jesus....read more
